Dungeons & Dragons mocks a new product
Calaboons and dragons is causing their next product. Yesterday, the official Twitter and Facebook pages of the popular board game launched a new and strange advance with pictures obscured in a set of crystals. "Through the depths of the ethereal plane there is a lighthouse for possibilities and adventures...", said the teaser. A strange creature is visible through the crystals, as well as a blurred title written in a source similar to a traditional D & D book. We will notice that several independent workers who previously worked with Wizards of the Coast also shared or commented on the Tweet, apparently implying that it is a new book of some kind. You can see the complete teaser below:
The ethereal plane is a plan described as a "plane of ghosts and monsters" and served to connect the material plane with other existence planes. Each location on the interior and material planes is connected to the ethereal plane, so it is possible to spy on specific people and planes at the ethereal plane, although through a view similar to the frosted glass. When traveling through the ethereal plane, one person and possessions of him are not solid, they become ether and ghostly. There is no gravity at the ethereal plane and the trip was performed by pure will of will: you just needed to want to go to a place to start traveling there. Some creatures like Phase Spiders and Ghosts reside naturally at the ethereal plane, while many other creatures use it as a way to travel between the plans.
The new product seems to continue a multiversal topic initiated earlier this year with the launch of Mortdenkainen presents: Monsters of the Multiverse. That book (initially launched as part of a gift set and individually available at the end of this year) included updated blocks of monsters statistics and racing rules of players for a series of creatures that were previously found in other D & D books. Wizards of the Coast also launched _Rol critical: call from the abyssal depths, _ a new adventure book set on the stage of the Critical Role campaign of Exandria.
